About the speakers:
Jeffrey Leventhal is an entrepreneur who starts, builds, buys and exits technology businesses. He is now the CEO and co-founder of Work Market, which provides an enterprise saas platform that gives companies end-to-end management of contractors, freelancers and consultants and provides a marketplace where people can freely join groups to receive work assignments. Work Market’s investors include Spark Capital and Union Square Ventures. For enterprises, Work Market is a cloud-based contractor management platform connected to an online marketplace of professionals seeking work assignments. Built to allow scalability, increase productivity, and enhance the quality of both contractors and the work that they fulfill, Work Market enables enterprise organizations to do more than take control of skyrocketing operating costs - it empowers them to actually reduce costs and drive efficiency into their business. For contractors, Work Market is free and easy to use. Contractors create a profile, add their background, skills, and qualifications -- then Work Market’s clients can send work based on the profile.
Matthew Bars co-founded IntelliQuit, LLC and is a Masters Clinical Psychologist and distinguished thought leader in the field of nicotine addiction and tobacco treatment. He is the co-founder and director of the Fire Department of the City of New York Tobacco Treatment Program and chairman of Policy & Government Affairs Committee of the Association for the Treatment of Tobacco Use and Dependence. Bars, together with his colleague Dr. Victor Marchione, treat the tobacco dependent at Jersey City Medical Center. Over 45 million Americans smoke, and half of all U.S. smokers attempt quitting each year. Smokers spend billions each year in quit attempts, yet only 5% are successful on their own. By leveraging the power of remote biosensors, mobile health, FDA-approved tobacco treatment pharmacology and behavior change technology, the IntelliQuit device and ecosystem allows smokers to design a customized “quit plan” tailored to their personal needs. Retailing at less than $100, the IntelliQuit device fits easily into a smoker’s pocket or on their keychain. Markets include both DTC and B2B channels.
